Born in Chicago, Clem grew up in Cicero, Illinois and is the youngest of three siblings. She moved to California in May of 1976, first settling in the San Francisco Bay area, moving to Southern California two years later. She has been a resident of the Conejo Valley since 1987.
Clem graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences in 1971. She later earned a Professional Designation in Human Resource Management from UCLA. In December 2005 she completed her Master of Arts Degree from Biola University’s School of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership.
Clem has held various management positions throughout her career, including those at Kemper and Allianz Insurance Companies. Since 1980, she worked in various capacities in the Information Technology field. After relocating to the Conejo Valley she was one of the founders of Bethany Computer Systems which specialized in software development and computer consulting. In 1992, she joined Technicolor as its Director of Network Services and was responsible for its worldwide network. Before coming to Living Oaks, she worked in Glendale for Pinnacle Communication Systems.
While attending Calvary Community Church, she was actively involved in the leadership of the Adult Singles Ministry and the Russian Orphan Sponsorship program. In addition, Clem has a real passion for singing and has been an active choral singer all her life. She has sung with numerous chorales and chamber groups in Illinois and California. The highlight of her choral career was singing at the Opening Ceremonies of the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
She has been a member of Living Oaks Community Church since its inception in 2004. As the Church’s Business Administrator she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative duties of the church.
Clem resides in Westlake Village with her recently adopted teenaged daughters from Russia, Kristina and Olesya.
