Dan was born and raised in Western New York, and has considered sunny Southern California “home” since 1979. When asked what brought him west, Dan replies: “I visited California when I was 12 years old and fell in love with the culture here. Once I grew up and discovered that I had to shovel all that snow out of my driveway, it was time to get out of Buffalo!”
Dan brings a broad base of experience from both ministry and corporate management worlds. Following college, he begin his ministry career in Christian broadcasting, working in a variety of capacities with stations in Buffalo NY, Charleston WV, and San Bernardino CA. Then, after a dozen years in senior Sales and Marketing management roles with several Fortune 500 companies, Dan returned to full time ministry in 1993, serving as the Divisional Pastor for Celebration at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village, and later as the Executive Pastor at Crossroads Community Church in Camarillo.
Dan has a passion for helping people discover how God has uniquely “shaped” them for serving His Kingdom, and then empowering, and launching them into an effective and fulfilling ministry. “It is an exciting thing to be part of starting a brand new church, and help establish the DNA that will define ministry here for many years to come,” says Dan.
Dan and his wife Shirley have been married for over 30 years, and have lived in Newbury Park since 1979. With two grown and married children, they are enjoying the empty nest phase of life, and being new grandparents.
