Growing out of their eleven year ministry with CRM, and 8 years with Youth for Christ, Phil and Laina and their 5 kids moved to Amsterdam with Christian Associates International in July 2005. Their goal is to develop a space - pace - place where "don't-go-to-churchers" would want to come and engage in spiritual conversations. "Space in our calendars...pace in our daily lives...and a place that is soulfully inviting," says Phil. Could God's presence amongst us be so attractive that these don't-go-to-churchers would want to follow Jesus? Could a community of faith be formed from such an environment? And could other young leaders from around the planet want to come and be with us for a while to experience and learn? We want to be so intentionally infectious that these would go back out and contagiously reproduce similar space - pace - place environments. This is Xvillage! Could we lead this Village x to other European communities as well? By His grace and purpose.
