Born and raised in the Conejo Valley, Suzy met the Lord while attending the high school group at Calvary Community Church. Almost immediately, she began volunteering at the church in any capacity needed, which led to eventual employment and a 14-year career at Calvary.

Through a family illness, Suzy felt called into the medical field and left Calvary to attend University of Southern California medical program with the hope of becoming a medical missionary. While attending USC, she worked part-time for Bel Air Presbyterian Church which allowed her to participate in several medical missions throughout Africa and Asia, but still work in the area of computer technology at the church. After 11 years at Bel Air as the I.T. Director and many international mission trips, Suzy's heart was drawn closer to home when a friend asked her to volunteer at the Ventura Youth Correctional Facility which houses violent female offenders ages 12 to 24.

Several times per week, for the past four years, Suzy has been leading Bible studies and mentoring girls at the facility and has seen God work in some miraculous ways. Having no children of her own, the Lord has allowed Suzy to be a mom to girls who either have no parents or who have been severely abused by parents and who have, in turn, abused others. To have the opportunity to show them the love of Jesus is truly a blessing in Suzy's life.

Suzy will be working for Pastor Dan Miller and Pastor Dean Merrill as Project Administrator and looks forward to supporting the work the Lord is doing here at Living Oaks Community Church.
